Description
The Tallow Dog Balm is completely safe, non-toxic and edible and can be used on your dog's nose, paws or any part of their body.
The balm is made from grass-fed beef tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, vitamin E oil and a small amount of organic beeswax. This makes it completely safe for dogs.
1. Deep Moisturization • Rich in Nutrients: Tallow is rich in essential fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6, which are crucial for skin health. These fatty acids help nourish and hydrate dry, cracked paws and noses. • Intense Hydration: The natural fats in tallow closely resemble the oils produced by a dog’s skin, making it an effective moisturizer that penetrates deeply without leaving a greasy residue. 2. Soothing Properties • Anti-Inflammatory: Tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which has anti-inflammatory properties. This helps soothe irritated skin, reducing redness and swelling on a dog’s paws or nose. • Gentle on Sensitive Skin: Tallow is gentle and suitable for dogs with sensitive or allergy-prone skin. It doesn’t contain harsh chemicals or artificial ingredients that could irritate the skin further. 3. Protection • Barrier Against Elements: When applied, tallow creates a protective barrier on the skin, shielding paws and noses from environmental stressors like hot pavement, cold weather, or rough terrain. • Healing: The vitamins A, D, E, and K found in tallow support skin repair and regeneration, helping to heal cracked or damaged areas more quickly. 4. All-Natural and Edible • Safe if Licked: Since tallow is a natural, animal-derived fat, it’s safe and non-toxic if a dog licks it off. This makes it ideal for use on areas like the nose or paws, where dogs are likely to lick. • Free from Harmful Chemicals: Tallow-based balms typically don’t contain synthetic ingredients, preservatives, or fragrances, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or other negative side effects. 5. Long-Lasting • Stays Put: Tallow has a thicker consistency than many plant-based oils, so it tends to stay on the skin longer. Overall, tallow-based balms are an excellent option for keeping a dog’s paws and nose healthy, hydrated, and protected from environmental damage.
